Iranian President Ahmadinejad speaks at UN High-level Meeting on Rule of Law

Exciting times around the UN with the 67th session of the General Assembly launching last week. 

Secretary General Ban Ki-moon holds bilateral meetings with world leaders before the general debate of the GA that is about to start tomorrow with some very prestigious speakers.

Today’s main event was a High-level Meeting on the Rule of Law, Rule of Law being one of the main focuses of the 67th session of the GA. One of the leaders addressing the meeting was Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“Anti-Semitic, anti-American Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad turned up the rhetoric Monday, describing Israel as an annoyance that can be “eliminated.” The hate-spewing Ahmadinejad made his comments despite a warning to tone down his ire during his eighth and last visit to the General Assembly Wednesday.”
