It was strange reading the news about Beyonce lip-synching the National Anthem.

The night before the inauguration I have seen the photos of her in a studio, with the notation of The Start Spangled Banner in hand and I thought “oh well, it is going to be pre-recorded then, whatever”. That was what I thought until the very moment she opened her mouth to sing on the ceremony. And then I thought, well, it might have been just a rehearsal on the photos… I was thinking “if this is lip-synching she is very good at it” and by the end of the song I was convinced she was doing it live.

Lip-synched or not, hers might be my second favorite rendition of The Star Spangled Banner from now on. You all know what the first one is, right? 😉
