Hello, November!

Spread the love

Happy November, everybody! I can’t believe there is only eight weeks left of this year, it’s insane.

Let’s see what to look forward to this month. Again, I included a couple just for fun.

First of all, the Obama Foundation Summit kicked off actually on the last day of October, but goes on through November 1 too. You can follow the conversations clicking the link. President Obama is such an inspirational leader, and it is so soothing to see him still working to change the world. I still believe he can.

2 November is  the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists and 5 November is World Tsunami Awareness Day, both are continuously important issues.

Amazingly, 4 November is Use Your Common Sense Day, which should be every single day, shouldn’t i? It is going to be a great weekend as 5 November is Zero Tasking Day. Oh, I wish…

6 November is the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict

The Council of Europe holds its annual World Forum for Democracy from 8 to 10 November in Strasbourg.

10 November is World Science Day for Peace and Development, 14 November is World Diabetes Day  and 16 November is the International Day for Tolerance.

The third Thursday of November that happens to be 16 November this year is World Philosophy Day.

19 November is World Toilet Day, which many find amusing, but it is not so, knowing that is raises awarness on how many people have to live without proper sanitation worldwide.

20 November is Africa Industrialization Day.

19 November or the third Sunday in November is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

20 November is Universal Children’s Day and 21 November is World Television Day

23 November is of course Thanksgiving in the United States, followed by Black Friday on the 24th. Now I love a good shopping as much as the next girl and I am actually planning some online shopping that day, but I will once again urge you this year to give on Giving Tuesday which will be on 28 November!

25 November it the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women  and 29 November is International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
