The Geneva Conventions of August 12 1949 – ICRC Today also happens to be the 64th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Conventions. This could be a good occasion to take into account where in the world the Conventions are neglected these days, but I will leave these thoughts for a later post, now let’s just take a look at the original text of the Conventions.
