Obama to Permit Young Migrants to Remain in U.S. President Obama outlined a new immigration policy under which young illegal immigrants who came to the country as children can obtain work permits and will not face deportation. “Put yourself in their shoes. Imagine you’ve done everything right your entire life … only to suddenly face the threat of deportation.”  “They are Americans in their hearts, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper.“ Not that I don’t agree with every word but make no mistake here: this is politics. He obviously needs the latino votes too.
