united-nations: Join us in thanking everyone, including music artist David Guetta, helping to raise funds for and to raise awareness about typhoon Haiyan relief efforts in the Philippines, the crisis in Syria and other under-funded crises around the world.  The facade of the Secretariat building at UN Headquarters in New York City was turned into a huge wall of images on Friday when Mr. Guetta launched his new video.  Photo courtesy of the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN.

I think it’s obvious why I like this. 🙂 theseatofempire: Flags at the United Nations Headquarters, with the Hungarian flag prominent in the center. The flags of all countries of the world are arranged in English alphabetical order in front of the UN, which means the people who are in charge of them must hate any new country created that messes everything up.
