An Historic Day at the UN 165 member states signed the Paris Agreement on Friday, the first day it was open for signing, which is indeed a new high in the history of multilateral agreements. Earth Day has a special meaning in the year which is crucial for the fight against climate change. This year the United Nations will decide on the Sustainable Development Goals and we will see whether member states are willing and able to take necessary action to preserve our Earth for the next generations. On a lighter note, have you played Google’s Earth Day Quiz? Turns out I’m a woolly mammoth! (”So unique, you’re technically extinct. But on the bright side, scientists hope to be able to clone you some day!” – uhm, good for them…)
