Happy Sunday, people! And happy Memorial Day weekend to all to whom that applies! First of all, this week started in a very sad way. I was inevitably reminded of last year’s Mariah Carey concert that I attended at the same Manchester Arena. This is not about throwing blames and I don’t even know how it worked this time, but last year our packages weren’t inspected at all. Guards only took a quick peek, but in all honesty, I could have anything in the bottom or some side pocket of my shoulder bag, no-one cared to look. Even last year…

Happy Sunday, everybody! I really can’t believe it is almost December already, and it’s less than four weeks to go until Christmas. Another year has gone by so quickly. Due to Thanksgiving, we weren’t overwhelmed with earthshaking news this week, except for the death of a certain dictator, perhaps. While Ukraine never even signed the Rome Statute, one of the first decisions of the new leadership was to prosecute Yanukovych and a few of his men at the ICC. Whether it will be possible to put him on trial (at the ICC or anywhere) is another question. Obama to Putin: ‘There Will Be Costs’ To Invading Crimea…

Happy Mother’s Day to my Mother, my Grandmas and of course all the moms out there! Welcome to my third Sunday Smack!  I have to say I really do enjoy doing this for the third time this week. It sort of keeps me organized in terms of my professional reading “duties” all week. I only hope you can benefit from these collections too! The only real critique I got so far, is that I tend to be too long for one post, so l’ll try to keep it brief this time. If you have any more comments, keep them coming!…
